Operators and technicians raise formal requests. Store Managers release material with batch selection. Every issue is attributable to a person, a job and a batch.
Returns, Transfers & Write-offs
Return to Store, Inter-Store Transfer, and Scrap/Write-off workflows — all with senior sign-off where required. Nothing moves without a record.
Batch, Lot & Expiry Tracking
Track inventory at batch level. FIFO or FEFO batch suggestion on issue. Pre-expiry alerts at 90, 60 and 30 days — essential for pharma, food and chemicals compliance.
Serial Number Tracking
Individual serialised items tracked with unique serial numbers. State lifecycle: In Stock → Issued → Returned → Scrapped. A structured event log — the join key for Zometric Thread traceability.
Replenishment Management
Reorder-point alerts fired in near real-time to Store Managers. Manual replenishment requests with in-transit tracking. On-hand vs. in-transit clearly demarcated — never double-counted.
Physical Stock Count (Cycle Count)
Items locked during counting to prevent concurrent transactions. Anti-anchoring design — book quantity hidden during count entry. Variances require senior sign-off before adjustment.
Multi Unit of Measure
Purchased in drums, tracked in litres, issued in ml? The system handles it. Configurable conversion factors per item — no manual arithmetic for the stores team.
