Your quality data stays yours
Your quality records show how you make what you make. Zometric keeps them walled off from every other company, records who changed what and who signed in, and makes sure no one approves their own calibration.

This account has multiple active sessions. Terminate all my sessions
1private space
A walled-off section of the database for each company, never shared.
4rules
Every password is checked for length, common words, numbers only and closeness to the user’s name.
8hours
The longest anyone stays signed in before they are signed out automatically.
2signatures
Calibrator and approver both sign before a calibration is approved.
Architecture
Your data, walled off from everyone else’s
Everything travels to Zometric over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Each company’s records are kept in their own separate section of the database, called a schema, together with the user accounts that can open them.

Each company gets its own separate section of the database (a database schema). Your records, settings and history live there and nowhere else.
All productsUser accounts belong to your schema too, so an account in one company’s workspace cannot sign in to another’s.

Traceability
Every change leaves a trace
When an auditor asks who changed a specification and when, the answer is already in the record.
Nearly every type of record keeps a change history showing who made each change and when.
SPCGaugeEvery sign-in and sign-out is logged with the time, IP address and browser. Refused and failed sign-ins are logged too.

Access
See who signed in, and when
Sign-ins are controlled by your licence and recorded in a log you can review at any time.
Passwords must be at least 8 characters, cannot be a common password, cannot be only numbers, and cannot be too close to the user’s name or email.
All productsYou are signed out automatically after 8 hours, or as soon as the browser closes.
SPCStatistical AIGaugeYour licence sets how many browsers can be signed in at the same time. Extra sign-ins are refused and logged.
All productsIf one account is signed in on more than one browser, Zometric warns the user and lets them end the other sessions in one click.
SPCWall screens stay signed in for up to 30 days, so displays on the shop floor keep running.

Calibration
No one approves their own calibration
Gauge enforces the sign-off rules auditors look for, so they never depend on someone remembering them.
Each calibration is signed twice: first by the calibrator, then by an approver.
GaugeNobody can approve a calibration they performed. A different person must approve it.
GaugeOnly people listed as authorised signatories for a gauge category can sign its calibrations.
GaugeA calibrator whose qualification has expired cannot sign until it is renewed.
GaugeRemoving a signature asks for a reason, and the reason is kept.

AI
Nothing goes to an AI service unless someone asks
The AI chat in Statistical AI is optional. You decide whether it is ever used.
Statistical AI includes an optional chat that explains results in plain language. It sends nothing until someone types a question.
Statistical AIWhen someone asks, the results on screen and the question are sent to OpenAI, which writes the answer.
Statistical AIIf your policies restrict outside AI services, tell us before you start and we will go through it with you.

FAQ
Questions IT teams ask us
For how we handle personal data and cookies on this website, see our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
Where is Zometric hosted?
On Google Cloud. If you need your data held in a particular region, tell us and we will go through the options with you.
Can Zometric run on our own servers?
Yes. Zometric SPC can run in the cloud, on your own servers (on-premise), or as a hybrid of the two. Tell us what your IT team needs and we will set it up that way.
Is our data kept separate from other customers’ data?
Yes. Each company has its own separate section of the database (a database schema), so your records never sit in the same tables as another company’s.
Can a user from another company sign in to our workspace?
No. User accounts live inside your own schema, so an account created for another company cannot sign in to yours.
Can we see who changed a record?
Yes, in SPC and Gauge. Nearly every type of record keeps a history of who changed it and when.
How do machines send data without a person’s password?
Machines and other systems that send measurements to SPC use their own access key (an API token), so no one’s password is stored in a machine or script.
What password rules apply?
At least 8 characters, not a common password, not only numbers, and not too close to the user’s name or email.
Does Zometric send our data to an AI service?
Only if someone uses the optional chat in Statistical AI. When a question is typed there, the results on screen and the question are sent to OpenAI to write the answer. Nothing is sent otherwise.
Will you complete our security questionnaire?
Yes. Use the questionnaire form on this page, or email contact@zometric.com. We will answer each question directly, including anything we don’t do yet.
